As members of the Auburn University ePortfolio cohort and recipients of an ePortfolio Curriculum and Course Development Grant, we have taken seriously our responsibility to share our work with others who also strive to integrate the ePortfolio into their curriculum and foster reflective thinking among students. Through formal and informal meetings, symposiums and conference presentations, our HDFS cohort has communicated our process, challenges and outcomes with Auburn faculty and colleagues throughout the United States. Cohort members also serve on the ePortfolio Assessment Committee and the ePortfolio Undergraduate Awards Committee. Click on the corresponding image below for more information on each presentation.

Fall 2014 Faculty ePortfolio Symposium, Auburn University

At the Fall 2014 Faculty ePortfolio Symposium, members of our HDFS cohort had the opportunity to present on our process of collaborative curriculum mapping. In the presentation, we discussed how we worked together to develop a strategy for integrating the ePortfolio into the HDFS undergraduate curriculum beginning with our sophomore-level professional development class and ending with our senior-level internship course. We also reviewed the challenges we encountered and the strategies we developed for addressing them.

AAEEBL Southeast Regional 2014, University of Georgia at Athens

In November of 2014, the work of our HDFS cohort was represented at the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning (AEEBL) Southeast Regional conference in a presentation of six common challenges encountered when implementing ePortfolios. What was unique about this presentation was the collaborative effort between one of our cohort members and faculty from the departments of English and Geology at Auburn University. It also was an opportunity to represent the work of Auburn University to programs throughout the Southeast.
Spring 2015 Faculty ePortfolio Symposium, Auburn University

Our collaborative work with faculty from the departments of English and Geology was presented at the Spring 2015 Faculty ePortfolio Symposium.  Similar to our presentation at UGA, we discussed the common challenges we encountered while implementing ePortfolios into our major curriculums as well as the approaches we used to address the challenges. The benefit of this presentation was that we were able to share our learning process with members of different programs across Auburn University.

Conversations in Celebration of Teaching, Auburn University

In January of 2015, we were invited to present our work in developing our ePortfolio assessment rubric at Conversations in Celebration of Teaching and Expo in Support of Creative Research and Scholarship. Through a poster presentation, we had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with faculty from across Auburn University about our rubric that fits with both our major and the University’s assessment criteria. We also provided information on documentation we created that defines rubric-specific terms and promotes consistency in ePortfolio assessment.
