HDFS EPORTFOLIO TEAM

Robert Bubb has a Master’s Degree in Applied Social Psychology and he is a lecturer for the Human Development and Family Studies department. He has instructed research methods and statistic courses for the past five years. His background in research methodology and statistics contributed to the development and analysis of the HDFS ePortfolio rubric. He ensured that the rubric maintained high reliability among evaluators of student ePortfolios while ensuring the constructs assessed were valid indicators of student performance.

Emily Cumbie has a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. She has been teaching undergraduate courses and serving as an Academic Advisor for HDFS students for the past seven years. She is passionate about helping students identify their strengths,  matching those strengths to career paths, and teaching students how to professionally present themselves to potential employers. 

Jamie Sailors has a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS). She has been a faculty member with the HDFS department at Auburn University since 2001 where she serves as Director of Undergraduate Internships and Director of Undergraduate Programs. As an instructor, academic advisor and in her work with the HDFS Undergraduate Mentoring Program for Graduate School, Dr. Sailors strives to prepare undergraduates for successful entry into the job market or graduate school following graduation. She believes the ePortfolio is an excellent tool for shaping students’ preparation for accomplishing their professional goals.

Margaret Vollenweider has a Master's degree from Auburn University in Human Development and Family Studies. She has been an academic advisor and taught undergraduate courses including Professional Development and Ethics for 15 years. She thinks it is important for students to take the time in college to uncover their passions, explore career options and develop goals for their adult life.

Sharon Wilbanks has a Master's degree from Auburn University in Human Development and Family Studies. She is the Director of the Auburn University Early Learning Center, an academic advisor, and an instructor. She currently teaches a section of the Professional Development and Ethics course. Each semester she helps approximately 45 students build an eportfolio for their professional use. She is passionate about helping students understand their values, passions, strengths and skills and using those to form their professional identity.

Virginia Christian was an original contributing  member of the cohort but she has since relocated.
